Vladimir Konstantinov
Drafted by the Detroit Red Wings in 1989, Vlad would go on to be part of the unit know as the "Russian Five" along with Fetisov, Larionov, Fedorov & Kozlov.
In the 1995/96 season he would earn the NHL Plus/Minus award at +60. The following year he was runner up for the Norris Trophy as best defenseman and would help the Wings sweep the Flyers to win the Stanley Cup.
Following a golf outing with the Stanley Cup, Vlad's Limousine was involved in an accident resulting in paralysis that would end his playing career.
